Conversion Rate Calculator
Work out a conversion rate from visitors and conversions, plus how many more conversions or visitors you need to hit a target. Runs in your browser.
Out of every 100 visitors, about 5 convert.
A free conversion rate calculator that turns visitors and conversions into a clear percentage. Enter the number of visitors (or sessions) and the number of conversions (or leads), and the tool returns the conversion rate. Add a target number of conversions to see how many more you need, and a target rate to see how many visitors that would take. It works for a landing page, a store, a signup form, or any funnel step. Everything runs in your browser, and nothing you type is stored.

- Compare variantsCompare the conversion rate of two versions in an A/B test.
Examples
- A 5% rate50 conversions from 1,000 visitors is a 5% conversion rate.
- Gap to targetIf your target is 80 conversions and you have 50, you are 30 short.
- Visitors neededTo get 80 conversions at a 4% target rate, you need 2,000 visitors.
Formula or how the tool works
Conversion rate = conversions / visitors x 100. The conversions short of target is the target minus your current conversions (never below zero). The visitors needed is target conversions / target rate, rounded up.
Inputs, outputs, and assumptions
You enter visitors and conversions, and optionally a target rate and a target number of conversions. The tool returns the conversion rate, the conversions short of target, and the visitors needed. It assumes the target rate holds for the extra visitors.
Supported modes or scenarios
Use it for any funnel step: visits to leads, add-to-carts to purchases, or trials to paid. Leave the target fields blank if you only need the rate.
Limitations and common mistakes
A common mistake is mixing visitors and sessions, or counting repeat conversions. The visitors-needed figure assumes your target rate stays constant, which real traffic does not guarantee. Results are estimates to help you plan, not financial advice. Check them against your own account data before you rely on them.
Privacy and local processing
The calculation runs in your browser on your device. Your figures are never uploaded, stored, or shared, and closing the tab clears everything.
Frequently asked questions
What counts as a conversion?
Whatever action you are measuring: a purchase, a signup, a lead, or a click. Be consistent between the numerator and the funnel step.
Visitors or sessions?
Either works, but use the same basis for both fields. Sessions count repeat visits; unique visitors do not.
How is visitors-needed calculated?
It divides your target conversions by your target rate and rounds up, assuming the rate stays the same.
What is a good conversion rate?
It varies widely by industry and funnel step, so compare against your own past performance.
Is my data saved?
No. Everything runs in your browser and nothing you enter is stored.
