Why Tutoring Tools on Tooleem

These tools cover the parts of tutoring you handle yourself, outside the lesson: preparing material, structuring a session, reporting on progress, and running the business side. None of it requires a tutoring platform account — each tool works on its own, in your browser.

For session prep, the worksheet, short quiz, and flashcard generators turn your own content into a clean, printable set — with an optional separate answer key for the quiz. The class timer keeps an activity or a full session on pace, and the session planner turns a session length into a time-blocked agenda (warm-up, teach, guided practice, independent practice, wrap-up) — a single-session plan, distinct from the study planner's multi-day exam-prep calendar.

For student progress, the progress report generator turns topics covered, strengths, and areas to improve into a clean, parent-ready report. And for the business side, three calculators work together: the hourly rate and tutoring rate calculators work out what to charge from a target income (the tutoring-specific version also prices in prep time, no-shows, and platform fees), and the invoice generator bills a block of sessions with an automatic total.

Preparing a session? Build a printable worksheet, a short quiz with an answer key, or a flashcard deck, keep it on pace with the session timer, and structure the lesson itself with the session planner.

Reporting on progress? The progress report generator turns your notes into a parent-ready update. Planning exam prep across sessions? The study planner splits the topics into a day-by-day schedule.

For the business side, the tutoring rate calculator works out what to charge, pricing in prep time, no-shows, and platform fees, and the invoice generator bills a block of sessions with an automatic total.

FAQ

Tutoring Tools questions

Are these tools free?

Yes. Every tool here is free, with no sign-up and no usage limit.

Do I need a tutoring platform account?

No. Each tool works on its own, in your browser — no account, no scheduling platform, no student roster required.

Is my data saved?

No. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you enter is uploaded to a server or saved, and refreshing the page clears it.

What is the difference between the study planner and the session planner?

The study planner spreads a list of topics across the days or weeks before an exam — a multi-day calendar. The session planner structures a single session's internal flow (warm-up, teach, guided practice, independent practice, wrap-up) into a one-page agenda. Use the study planner for what to cover across a course of sessions, and the session planner for the inside of any one of them.

How is the tutoring rate calculator different from the hourly rate calculator?

The hourly rate calculator is a general freelance calculator (target income, billable hours, expenses). The tutoring rate calculator adds tutoring-specific inputs — unpaid prep and travel time, cancellations and no-shows, and a platform or payment-processor fee — so the rate reflects a tutor's real week, not an idealized one.

Does the progress report generator grade or evaluate the student?

No. It only formats the topics, strengths, and notes you enter into a clean report — there is no AI evaluation or automatic grading involved.
