How this tool works
Enter the quiz questions and a point value for each, and the tool lays them out as a clean preview with a title, instructions, a student details line, and a running total. Printing uses your browser's own print dialog (Print/Save as PDF) and shows only the quiz, not the rest of the site. There is no AI here and no server connection — this is a template builder only.
Answer key
You can enter a correct answer for each question. Checking "show answer key" adds the answers to the preview and printout, so you can print a separate teacher copy. Without it, students get only the quiz.
Privacy
The quiz content stays in your browser only. There's no need for student names, and nothing is saved or sent to a server or analytics. Refreshing the page clears the content.
Frequently asked questions
What is this short quiz generator?
A tool that builds a printable short quiz from questions, question types, and points you enter. You can print it or save it as a PDF, with or without the answer key.
Does it generate questions automatically?
No. You write the questions, and the tool lays them out as a clean, scored quiz. There is no AI here and no automatic question generation.
How does the answer key work?
Fill in the answer field for each question and check "show answer key." The answers appear in the preview and printout, so you can print a separate copy for yourself.
Can I save it as a PDF?
Yes. Click "Print / save as PDF" and choose to save as a PDF file instead of printing, in the print dialog.
Is the content saved?
No. Everything is built in your browser only, with no saving and nothing sent to a server. Refreshing the page clears it.
What is the difference between this and the worksheet generator?
The worksheet generator suits practice and activities with no scoring, while the quiz generator adds points per question, a running total, and an answer key — better suited to pop quizzes and short tests.
