This generator builds a sheet of twenty Hebrew speaking cards, by the card type and level you choose: tell about yourself, what you prefer, what you'd do in a situation, ask a friend, an imagined scene, or a simple opinion. The sheet includes sentence starters that match the level, each card with a question or prompt, useful words, and a reminder to ask a follow-up question. A harder version of each card is optional, for deeper practice. The questions are deliberately general and safe: nothing too personal, political, or religious, nothing about health or trauma, and no assumptions about origin, family status, or identity. The cards work for adults and teens too, not only children. Everything is plain, natural Hebrew, written without niqqud, and it's built entirely in your browser, no sign-up.

How to use this tool

  1. 01Pick a card typeChoose the kind of speaking prompt: tell about yourself, preferences, what would you do, ask a friend, an imagined scene, or a simple opinion.
  2. 02Pick a levelSet the level to match how much Hebrew the speaker already has.
  3. 03Add a harder version (optional)Turn on a follow-up "harder" line for each card, for learners ready to push further.
  4. 04Print or generate a new setPrint or save as a PDF. "New set" draws a different twenty cards for the same type and level.
02

When is this useful?

  • A speaking warm-upA teacher hands out a few cards at the start of class as a low-pressure speaking warm-up.
  • Pair or small-group conversation practiceLearners take turns drawing a card and answering, with a partner asking the follow-up question.
  • One-on-one tutoringA tutor uses the cards to keep a session conversational instead of purely grammar-focused.
  • Building confidence to speakThe sentence starters give a learner who's nervous about speaking a concrete way to begin an answer.
03

Examples

  • Tell about yourself, beginnerSimple prompts like "what's your name" and "where are you from," with basic sentence starters.
  • What would you do, basicEveryday hypothetical situations, like what to do if you're late, with useful words for each card.
  • A simple opinion, intermediatePrompts asking for a short opinion on an everyday topic, with a harder follow-up version for stronger speakers.
04

Tips for a better result

  • Always ask the follow-upThe reminder to ask "why?" or "can you tell me more?" is what turns a one-word answer into real conversation practice.
  • Start with easier card types"Tell about yourself" and "preferences" tend to feel safer than "simple opinion" for a learner just starting to speak.
  • Mix levels within a pairA stronger speaker can use the harder version of a card while a partner uses the standard version, on the same sheet.
  • Generate a few sets"New set" brings twenty different cards for the same type, so you can repeat the activity without repeating the exact same cards.

Frequently asked questions

Who is this for?

New immigrants and Hebrew learners of any age who want low-pressure speaking practice, and the teachers or tutors leading that practice.

Are the questions personal or sensitive?

No, by design. The cards avoid personal, political, religious, health, or trauma-related questions, and don't assume anything about a person's origin, family, or identity.

Is this only for children?

No. The cards are written to work for adults and teens as well as younger learners.

What does the "harder" version add?

It adds a follow-up line to the same card that pushes for a longer or more detailed answer, for learners ready for more.

Do I need to enter personal information?

No. There's no sign-up and nothing is saved. Everything is built in your browser.
