This generator builds a printable practice sheet for speaking and conversation practice for new immigrants, built around common everyday situations in Israel: the supermarket, the bus, the doctor, school, a job interview, an apartment, the bank, and a phone call. Pick a situation, a level (beginner, basic, or intermediate), and an exercise type (full dialogue, missing lines, or role-play cards), and decide whether to work in pairs or a small group. The sheet includes the dialogue, useful phrases, role cards for Speaker A and Speaker B, and comprehension questions. A teacher answer key is optional. Everything is plain, natural Hebrew, written without niqqud, and it's built entirely in your browser, no sign-up. This is a practice tool, not official Ministry of Education material.

When is this useful?

  • Pair practice in classTwo learners take Speaker A and Speaker B and read the dialogue aloud, then answer the comprehension questions.
  • A real-world speaking rehearsalA new immigrant rehearses the supermarket or doctor dialogue before actually needing it in daily life.
  • Free role-play practiceWith role-play cards, learners improvise their own version of the conversation using the useful phrases as support.
  • Listening and reading combinedA tutor reads the dialogue aloud while the learner follows along, then swaps roles for a second read-through.
03

Examples

  • Supermarket, beginner, full dialogueA short back-and-forth about finding an item and paying, with useful phrases like "excuse me" and "how much does this cost."
  • Doctor, basic, missing linesSpeaker B's lines are missing and the learner fills them in based on context before reading the completed dialogue aloud.
  • Job interview, intermediate, role-play cardsEach learner gets a role card and improvises their own interview conversation using the useful phrases provided.
04

Tips for a better result

  • Read the dialogue before role-playingIt helps to read the full dialogue once before switching to the missing-lines or role-play version of the same situation.
  • Say the useful phrases out loud firstPracticing the useful phrases in isolation before the full dialogue makes the conversation flow more naturally.
  • Swap rolesHave learners swap Speaker A and Speaker B roles and read the dialogue a second time.
  • Generate a few sheets"New sheet" brings a different dialogue for the same situation, so you can repeat the practice without repeating the exact same sheet.

Frequently asked questions

Who is this for?

New immigrants practicing spoken Hebrew for real everyday situations, and the teachers, tutors, or conversation partners working with them.

What's the difference between the exercise types?

Full dialogue is read as written, missing lines asks the learner to fill in Speaker B's side from context, and role-play cards give each person a role to improvise their own conversation from.

Can this be used one-on-one?

Yes. Pairs mode works for a tutor and one learner just as well as two learners together.

Where does the answer key appear?

Turn on the teacher-key option and it appears at the end of the sheet, with the missing-line answers (if applicable) and comprehension question answers.

Do I need to enter personal information?

No. There's no sign-up and no need for a name or details. Everything is built in your browser, and the name line on the sheet is meant to be filled in by hand after printing.
