Formula and how the calculation works

Cyprus uses progressive tax bands: each band's rate applies only to the portion of income that falls within it, not to the whole income. The tool sums the tax owed in each band up to your income level. Total tax = sum across each band of (portion of income in that band × that band's rate).

The 2026 tax reform package was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Cyprus on 31 December 2025 and took effect from 1 January 2026, raising the 0% threshold to €22,000. The full band structure used here (0% to €22,000, 20% to €32,000, 25% to €42,000, 30% to €72,000, 35% above €72,000) is cross-checked against professional tax-advisory summaries of the reform.
