Cayman Islands Import Duty Calculator
Estimate Cayman Islands import duty on the CIF value of your goods using the 22% general rate, or your own rate. Educational estimate, not customs advice.
Educational estimate only, not customs or tax advice. The default 22% is the general duty rate that applies to most ordinary merchandise (source: Cayman Islands Customs Tariff Act, 2026 Revision, legislation.gov.ky). This is not a full tariff lookup: many categories differ, including common duty-free exceptions such as computers, laptops, cameras, and educational materials, and some categories run higher (up to roughly 27%). Enter your own rate if you know your item's classification. Does not include the customs processing fee or environmental levy. Tooleem is not affiliated with Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control. Check the official source before relying on a figure.

Formula and how the calculation works
Duty is calculated on the CIF value (cost of goods plus insurance plus freight), not just the item price. Estimated duty is CIF value × rate. Estimated landed cost is CIF value plus duty.
Current rate and official source
The Cayman Islands Customs Tariff Act (2026 Revision, legislation.gov.ky) is the primary legal source for duty rates. Most ordinary merchandise is subject to a general 22% duty rate. Certain categories, commonly including computers, laptops, cameras, and educational materials, often enter duty-free, and some categories run higher, up to roughly 27%. This tool applies the 22% general rate by default and lets you enter your own rate. Current as of 2026. Tooleem is not affiliated with Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control.
Assumptions and what is not included

It does not include the customs processing fee (1%, minimum CI$10, maximum CI$750) or the environmental levy that can apply on top of duty. For the exact rate on a specific item, check the official tariff schedule maintained by Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control.
